Guess I'll go on the strength of 'Too Fast..'
and Tommy's drumming (when he DID drum!!!)
Yea Poison was an ok live show but I'll go Crue
Wouldn't spend a penny on either of them these days though
Tricky. Never seen either live, but the Crue's first album is better than anything Poison ever did. Come to that, it's better than anything the Crue did subsequently too.

Seen both bands in different settings (Crue headlining Wembley, Poison headlining the Marquee). Obviously the Crue stadium show was more entertaining than Poison in a club.
However on recorded material, I'd go with Poison. I don't really like anything that I've heard from either band in the last 10 years though.
Like I originally said: didn't both these
bands reach the apex of their careers years
and years and years ago? Crue had a chance,
though, when the Nikki or whoever it was
started playing around with Pro Tools, but
then the Vince -- Well, what's left to say?
Get all the glam-fatty vocalists together,
I say, and form a kind of surreal, odious
ode to Boyz to Men to Boyz again boy bands.
Vince, Jani, the nightclub bouncer from out
of Lillian Axe, etc. It'll be The Ratpack,
well, Fatpack.

If you're judging on looks, I guess Poison looked prettier.
Not looks. If anything, nihilism, depression and
alcoholism.
If we speaking superficially, then I suppose
the Rockett has the best clothes, but then again,
he always did.

This question is a bit like having your dentist ask you which tooth you'd like extracted first. Given the choice though, I'd have to go for Motley - they did, after all, come up with the wonderful 'Too Fast For Love' and continually manage to amuse/revolt us with their ...um... exploits and stupidity.
Poison, on the other hand, are one of those bands who only made videos so that the deaf could hate them as well.

I've never seen Poison live but I've seen Motley live on the Doctor Feelgood tour and they were AWESOME live!!! That said, and even if I hadn't seen Motley live, I'd still give Motley my vote...Loved those dudes back in the day.
Shit and Shinola?
